Delete Account

How to close a Meerkat Universe account.

In the app

Account deletion is available inside the app itself:

• Open Settings from the home screen.
• Go to the Account section.
• Choose Delete Account and confirm.

The app will ask for confirmation before anything is deleted. Deleting an account is not reversible, and progress saved to that account cannot be recovered afterwards.

If you cannot reach the in-app option

Deletion needs a working connection, because it removes data held outside the device. If the option does not complete, try again on a working connection.

You can also ask us to delete an account by email. Write to meerkatuniverse.support@gmail.com and include the friend code shown on the profile screen in the app, so we can find the right account. We will respond within one month, as the law requires.

What deletion removes

• The saved game progress held for the account, and its history.
• The published profile — display name, friend code, level and picture — so the player no longer appears on the leaderboard or in player search.
• Friendships and any pending friend requests.
• The product-measurement records held for the account (see section 3.5 of the Privacy Policy).
• The account record itself — the sign-in held by Firebase Authentication, including the email address Apple or Google supplied when the player signed in. Nothing is kept in order to recognise the player later.

Signing in again afterwards with the same Apple or Google account creates a new account that starts from nothing. It is not the old one recovered.

Crash reports are described in the Privacy Policy, along with how long they are kept. They are not attached to an account, so there is nothing in them to find and remove for a particular player.
